Cherry red in the glass. The nose brings roses and fresh strawberries, with spice and vanilla from the barrel in the background. The palate opens fresh, light in body with soft tannins, and the finish stays smooth and fruit-led.

Откуда оно
Caelum takes its name from a small constellation of the southern sky that depicts a chisel, the sculptor's tool. For the winery, hands play that role in the cellar: the grapes for this wine are picked and sorted by hand. The vines grow in Agrelo, part of Luján de Cuyo, the traditional heart of Mendoza wine just south of the city, at around 1,000 metres at the foot of the Andes. Mendoza built its name on Malbec, which thrives in its sunny, dry climate; Pinot Noir is a far rarer choice here, and the altitude helps it keep its freshness. Planted in 2009 on clay soils with stones, the vineyard yields only 3,000 bottles a year of this Gran Reserva, made by winemaker Juan Ubaldini.
Hand-harvested and hand-sorted, with malolactic fermentation and 12 months in French oak barrels.
