Откуда оно
Agrelo sits in Luján de Cuyo, the long-established core of Mendoza's wine country just south of the city. Caelum's vineyard there was planted in 2009 at around 1,000 metres in the foothills of the Andes, where a dry, sunny climate and cooler nights help the grapes hold on to their acidity. Mendoza built its name on Malbec, but Caelum also works with less expected white varieties: half of this blend is Fiano, an ancient grape from Campania in southern Italy that is rarely seen in Argentina. Chardonnay adds weight and a dash of Sauvignon Blanc adds aroma. Only about 3,000 bottles are made each year under winemaker Juan Ubaldini. The winery takes its name from a small southern-sky constellation depicting a sculptor's chisel, a nod to the handwork behind each wine.
Hand-picked grapes are gently pressed variety by variety, fermented in French oak barrels at 18–20 °C with regular bâtonnage, malolactic fermentation is deliberately blocked, and the wine then spends several months in barrel on its fine lees.
Подача
