Дегустационные заметки
An intense, concentrated Malbec with an expressive nose. The palate is round and generous, with an almost unctuous texture that sets it apart from leaner high-altitude wines. Complex and elegant through to the finish.

Откуда оно
The Uco Valley lies in Mendoza, Argentina's main wine region, right at the foot of the Andes. Vineyards here sit high: at 1,200 metres the days are bright and the nights cold, so grapes ripen fully while keeping their freshness. Malbec, originally from south-west France, became Mendoza's signature grape under these conditions. Staphyle's Micro Terroirs line looks at individual sites separately to show how much they differ. This one comes from the upper part of Vista Flores, in Tunuyán, in the centre of the valley. The ground is the alluvial fan of the Tunuyán River: stony and calcareous, but heavier than the other sites the winery studies, with more silt, clay and organic matter. That richer soil explains the wine's fuller, rounder build.
