De dónde viene

Iris is the line in which Staphyle bottles its young, fruit-driven varietals, and the name is a nod to the water and sky of Mendoza. That is more than poetry: Mendoza is a high desert at the foot of the Andes, where vineyards depend on irrigation from rivers fed by mountain snowmelt, under a sky that stays clear for most of the year. This Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Luján de Cuyo, one of the province's oldest wine districts, just south of the city of Mendoza. Malbec may be Argentina's signature grape, but Cabernet Sauvignon has a long history here as well. Staphyle keeps this one deliberately young and fresh, a wine for everyday meals and for trying out new food combinations.

Rested for 6 months in bottle before release.
