De dónde viene
Partida Limitada is Staphyle's line of micro-vinifications: small lots made once and never repeated, so each year's wine is an experiment of its own. This Malbec comes from Finca Familia Porretta in Agrelo, a district of Luján de Cuyo, the historic heart of Mendoza's wine country just south of the city. The vines grow at around 950 metres at the foot of the Andes, in a dry, sunny climate where viticulture depends on drip irrigation. Strong daytime sun and cool nights let the grapes ripen fully while holding on to freshness. Malbec arrived from south-west France in the 19th century and, in soils of clay and sand like these, found the conditions that made it Argentina's signature grape.
Micro-vinification of a single small lot; each Partida Limitada release is unique and not repeated.
