Where it comes from

Bodega Caelum takes its name from a small constellation of the southern sky that depicts a chisel – a nod to the handwork the winery puts into its wines. This Fiano comes from the estate's own vines in Agrelo, a district of Luján de Cuyo just south of the city of Mendoza, where vineyards spread across the foothills of the Andes. At 1,000 metres, sunny days give way to cool nights, which helps white wines keep their freshness. The vines were planted in 2009 on clay soils with stones and are irrigated with water coming down from the Andes. Fiano, a grape from southern Italy, is an unusual choice in a region known above all for Malbec. Only around 6,000 bottles are made each year, without any oak.

Hand-harvested, then fermented and aged for about six months in stainless steel, with no oak.
