De dónde viene

LUI Wines, led by winemaker Mauricio Vegetti Lui, does not rely on a single estate. Instead it works with growers in more than twelve Argentine wine regions, aiming to bottle the character of each site. Infuriato comes from one Malbec vineyard, planted in 1995 in Vista Flores in the Uco Valley (Valle de Uco). The valley lies high in the south-west of Mendoza, right at the foot of the Andes. At 1,100 metres, sunny days alternate with cool nights, which helps the grapes keep their colour, aroma and freshness. The soil is shallow alluvium, mostly sand with some limestone and clay. In this dry climate the vines depend on drip irrigation. Malbec originally came from south-west France, but it found a second home in Mendoza and became the region's signature grape.

Hand-picked in the last week of March, destemmed and crushed, then given 48 hours of pre-fermentation maceration, 15 days of alcoholic fermentation and natural malolactic; half the wine spent 10 months in French oak, followed by 6 months in bottle.
